Established on September 1967 in the city of Curitiba, Plásticos do Paraná Ltda. occupied an area of only 1,500 m2, and employed 12 people. With an initial production of 6,000,000 sacks/year, chiefly aimed at the Brazilian fertilizer market, our company was a pioneer in Brazil, manufacturing fabrics made of polypropylene fibers. Presently, our company is located in a 100 thousand m2 plot, has a built area of 35 thousand m2 and can produce 100,000,000 m2 of fiber fabric per year. This production is divided in around 65,000,000 m2 for synthetic fabric, 12,000,000 m2 for canvas and the rest is for special fabrics. We are one of the largest Brazilian manufacturers of synthetic fabrics in "ráfia", covering canvas and transparent canvas. As the company grew and was modernized, other products were placed in the market, especially technical fabrics, such as Lona Forte, Agro Forte, Viti Forte, Lona Flexi Forte and the Blackout, as well as extruded linings. High technology and quality allowed Plásticos do Paraná to conquer markets in Latin America, Europe and in the United States, and to export 20% of its production. Keeping local and foreign commercial relations, our company produces and sells technical fabric for rice, soybean, corn, onion, potato, sugar and fertilizer sacks, as well as for other applications. We also produce canvas for coverings in general, plastic coverings for greenhouses, special fabrics (big bag type) and curtains for aviaries. We render paper or fabric reels lamination (through extrusion) services. Located at Curitiba's Industrial District, Rodovia do Café BR 277, 5 kilometers ahead from Parque Barigüi, Plásticos do Paraná is strategically located for easy access to the north of the State of Paraná, as well as the Brazilian South Region and the harbor at Paranaguá. |
